这题答案是D，偶做的时候首先排除了A,E然后就在BCD里纠结。
我想问一下BC为什么不行？
还有and neverthless这样的and 加 连词或副词的写法可不可以？然后是不是副词不可连接2句完整句子，但是可以连接这样的句型：主谓宾， 副词+Ving？

B选项是并列连词 and 和副词 nevertheless 搭配不当，but 才跟 nevertheless.

C选项的句式很别扭，taking 到底是伴随 were found，还是伴随 reached，让人难以分辨。另外，them 指代不明，容易引起歧义。

and 作为并列连词，不会再接并列连词，接从属连词的倒是有，接副词的也有。

副词不可连接2个完整的句子，连词才能充当此任。

是的，“主谓宾， 副词+Ving” 这个句子结构是成立的。如：

They said goodbye, hardly knowing that they were never to meet again.

一、nevertheless可以用作副词也可以用作连词。

用作副词，可以用作另一个分句的插入语（1），还可以在前面加 and/but并列另一个谓语动词（2）。如：

　　1、People do something and they, nevertheless, do another thing, too.
　　2、People do something and nevertheless do another thing, too.

用作连词，只能放在另一个分句前面（3），不能出现在句子中间。如：

　　3、People do something and nevertheless they do another thing, too.

本句中有三个谓语，基于上述用法，只能有下面的三种讲法：

　　1、The rescuers (reached the skiers), (found them apparently unharmed), but the skiers, nevertheless, (were taken to the hospital for observation).
