一、 refer...to... 的用法

1. 表示“把……提交给……”或“把……委托给……”之意。例如：

Tom is going to refer the matter to the meeting. 汤姆打算把这件事提交到会议上去处理。

I don't want to refer this patient to an irresponsible doctor. 我不想把这个病人交给一个不负责的医生。

2. 表示“使……向……请教”或“使……求助于……”之意。例如：

还原为主动语态：
He has made such a good effort in his spare time that his English has improved a lot.这是个结果状语从句．such．．．that结构
如以下例子：
This is such a difficult problem that all of us can't work it out.句中，that是从属连词，引导结果状语从句，在从句中不作成份。
This is such a difficult problem as all of us can't work out.句中，as 是关系代词，引导定语从句，在从句中作宾语。（注意这个句子里面没有上一句的it这个宾语）
窍门：解这类题的关键是看后面有没有差宾语，如差，则用such as 否则用such that．

broke through 是突破的意思，Break up通常指男女朋友分手，break down通常指机械坏掉，break off则指中断某事

stick to通常指的是观点，习惯等等，而不是笔记这类实在的东西，笔记能“坚持”吗？而用“参考”显然更好。

cut in 就是插进来的意思，cut off通常指切断某物，cut out指切掉，cut away与cut out 类似

没有用such that的，要么用such,要么用so。。。。（一段东西）that,这句话是说他对于他的空闲时光利用的非常好，所以他的英语水平进步了很多。
