Ladies and Gentlemen,
Good afternoon! I’m very glad to be here and give you a speech. Today I’m going to talk about my opinion about the College Entrance Examination.
To some extent, numerous people regard the College Entrance Exam, which is also named “Gaokao”, as a key to success. Success, as we all know, is the pursuit and desire of many people throughout history. Therefore, a great number of students, parents and even teachers attach extremely importance to “Gaokao”.
As students, they hope to realize their dreams through it, while parents need their children’s excellent achievement to glory their families, and for teachers, it is also of significance to receive students’ outstanding performances.
Nowadays, However, it seems that “Gaokao” is not the only path leading to the palace of success. Studying at abroad, undertaking a business are also wise, smart and bright choice and idea for some of students. Looking at those around us, we will find that a whole lot of person accomplish more than we can imagine and expect via above methods.
From my perspective,“Gaokao” is not only an exam, but a competition about knowledge and capability as well. At the same time, it is equally a special ceremony symbolizing passage into adulthood, representing out fascinating youth, displaying our old days with teachers and friends. What is more, with the help of “Gaokao” sharpening our mind, exercising our body, we will move towards maturity gradually.
Above all, what it reveals in the “Gaokao” is the real essence of perseverance and insistence and the spirit of hard working. All of them are surely necessary and required to success in life. However, There’s no denying that we definitely will experience hard times or even lose our heart sometimes, but we never give up or escape halfway. We’ve made up our mind to make every effort to study and step foreward, because we know that we are gonna make it finally, just as the old saying goes, “One's effort will pay off”.
All in all, as times goes by, i truly believe, the moment to prepare “Gaokao”, overcome difficulties standing in the way and eventually make a success will be remembered and cherished in our life forever.
