My Best Friend
Goodafternoon/evening, teachers and students. My name is LiWenya and I come fromclass 164. Today my topic is: My best friend.
Ever since I go to school, I have manyfriends. But only one person is deep in my heart, she is Linda, a very lovely,beautiful and outgoing girl. She is 16 years old, she is tall and thin. Shecomes from Kunming.She has many hobbies, for example, she is fond of playing basketball andping-pong. And she is also enjoys listening to music. She gets along well withstudents, I learn a lot from her.
Just as a saying goes, alife without friends is a life without a sun. So I am lucky because of Linda.She cares about and encourages me whenever I am in trouble. One day I was verysad because I failed my math exam. I was so sad that I didn’t want to talk toothers. At that time, she fond out mysorrow and came to comfort me patiently. She told me not to lost heart and Iwas a very good student, I could do even better next time if I had confidenceand believe myself. With the help of Linda, I became confident and believemyself gradually. Finally, I made great progress and did well in all my subjectsat the end of the term.
A friend in need is a friendindeed. This is my best friend. I want to say, everything is changing, everyoneis changing, however, our friendship never change! I hope we can be bestfriends forever!

How to Make Friends
A proverb says "One man is not good enough to live alone in the world." Indeed, there are many things in life which we alone cannot perform. We need friends' help. Friends are people who willingly and readily help us when we are in trouble, and show sympathy for us when we are in misery.
The benefits of friendship are boundless and sometimes invisible. For example, when we have passed the graduation examination and are looking for a job, we need experienced and reliable friends to guide us and help us on our way. A good friend is also an adviser, because our own points of view towards things may not be always right. Therefore, it is necessary for us to seek advice from friends.
Of course, we can make friends everywhere. However, I think the best place is school, where we are among a big number of boys and girls our own age, so it is easy to get to know one another in a short time. Besides, we can also make friends among the people who work with us in the community.
In order to make friends, we ourselves must be honest,noble-minded and kind-hearted whereby to leave a favourable impression on others since other people observe us the same way as we do.
