《The Kite Runner》 is a 2005 novel by Khaled Hoseini about a 12-year old boy Amir and his close friend Hassan in Afghanistan. In 1975 a tragedy happened to Hassan. Amir saw it but didn’t help him, in stead he fled. To cover his guilt feeling Amir forced Hassan to leave. Hassan died later. Amir escaped Afghanistan and went to the USA. After 26 years Amir returned to Afghanistan to bring Hassan’s son to the States to pay back the debt.

I think it’s a moving novel, showing true feelings with the sentence: “For you, a thousand times over.”
