There is a true story, which is non-fiction, that is about a a traveller's adventure in a desert. The traveller passed by a desert during his journey and lived in a tent while he was there. He rode a camel while he was there. There were no herds of sheep there, like there were in the prairie. Nor were there any buffalos. He often got thirsty and wished for the opposite of dryness, the antonym of which is wetness.
