Hong Kong is a great place for tourist. It has about forty public beaches. Some of the beaches are the best in the world. People can go swimming there. You can go to most of them by bus. To get to some beaches, you can take a boat. There are washing rooms, changing rooms and places to buy food and drinks on the beach. You can swim there without any danger, if you remember these instructions:
Never swim by yourself;
Never swim after a meal or when you feel hungry and tired;
Don't stay in the water too long.
Never go out on a boat without a life jacket if you can't swim.
Remember: A red flag means it is dangerous for anybody to go into the water. So you mustn't swim in the red flag area. A blue flag means that it is dangerous for children. Parents should take their children away from the blue flag area.
