请问这两个句子都造的有问题吗？ 分别用despite; in spite of ; despite the fact that 请大家帮忙查看一下谢谢了。
Despite / In spite of his illness, he came to the meeting.
Despite the fact that he was ill, he came to the meeting.

都是对的。despite的意思和用法同in spite of。despite 后面不能直接接从句，如果接that 引导的从句，前面要加the fact. 如：Despite the fact that he is a soldier, he has never been in war. 尽管他是一名战士，他从没参加过战争。
