The Contemporary Cai Yuanpei is also a scholar who grew up reading a lot. His father was the manager of the lodge, but he was an honest man and had very little money. 

When Yuan Pei was eleven years old, his father died, and his brothers relied on their mother's labor to support them. Yuan Pei went to school at the age of six. He studied hard with his six uncles (Juren) and his teacher.

1、英文：

Peter and val are both young men who work at the same company and both work hard. Vars, however, was soon recognized by the general manager and promoted from clerk to assistant, while Peter, as if forgotten, remained a clerk years later. 

One day, Peter finally couldn't help himself. He offered his resignation to the general manager, saying with some indignation that the general manager was too unfair and too shortsighted. Those who work hard don't get promoted, but those who love to Brag and flatter are welcome.

2、翻译：

1、英文：

A father is troubled by his child. Because his son is 15 or 16 years old, and he has no manhood. So the father went to visit a zen master and asked him to train his children.

2、翻译：

一位父亲很为他的孩子苦恼。因为他的儿子已经十五六岁了，可是一点男子气概都没有。于是，父亲去拜访一位禅师，请他训练自己的孩子。

四、船夫：

1、英文：The boatman and his children in the cold weather, the boatman went out to row, he took his own children. The boatman rowed hard and felt very hot. He took off his coat and put on only a single one.

 He ran into the cabin and said to his child, "it's too hot, let me take off your coat! " He took off his child's coat and let him wear only a single garment. The boatman took another ride, sweating profusely, and took off the only thing he had on. 

"Oh, it's too hot! It's too hot! " He went back into the cabin and stripped the child naked. How vigorously the boatman rowed, steaming and sweating. But his poor child was frozen stiff in the cabin.

2、翻译：大寒天，船夫出外划船，他把自己的孩子也带去。船夫用力划了一程，觉得身体很热，便脱去了外衣，只穿一件单衣。他跑进船舱，对自己的孩子说：“太热了，让我替你把外衣脱掉!”他把孩子的外衣脱了，也只让他穿一件单衣。

船夫又划了一程，浑身热得淌汗，他索性把自己仅穿的一件单衣也脱掉了。“呵，太热了!太热了!”他又走进船舱，把孩子的衣服也脱得精光。船夫划得多有劲呀，身上冒着热气，淌着汗。然而他可怜的孩子，在船舱里已经冻僵了。

五、善意：

1、英文：

Last week when I was walking in the community, I met a stray dog. It was cold and there was no one around. I stopped and he looked at me helplessly. I thought, "what a poor dog! " And I decided to take him home. 

When we got home, I fed him, gave him drinks, and played with him. But he seemed a little sad. I know he misses his master. What am I supposed to do? I've got an idea. Then, with my father's help, I put up a notice at the gate of the community. 

A few days later, the owner of the dog came to my house, and I was very happy to see the dog go home with the owner. I take pride in helping others.

2、翻译：

上周当我在社区散步时遇到了一只流浪狗，天气很冷，周围没有人。我停了下来，他无助地望着我。我想“多么可怜的狗呀！”然后我决定把他带回家。当我们回到家，我喂给他吃的，给他喝的，并和他一起玩耍。但他似乎有点悲伤。
