Nowadays more and more families start to own television, and people tend to spend more and more time in front of a television. As televisions bring information and entertainment to our lives, it harms us at the same time.
Firstly, just like celephones and computers, staring at a television screen for a long period of time is extremely unhealthy for eyesights. While the young generation watches entertainment shows or dramas on the TV, they tend to get addicted to the interesting shows and forget to rest their eyes once in a while. As a result, television's development causes more glasses to be sold. Secondly, sitting on a sofa constantly, often with a bag of snack on the side, is also a bad habit that turns healthy and fresh people into fat "coach potatos."
Although television is usually enjoyable and helpful in our lives, we should also keep in mind that it is not necessarily healthy for our health and things should be done to prevent our health from being damaged.
