Last Monday, I had an interesting encounter with a "chocolate monster". As I was walking through the park on my way home from work, I noticed a strange figure huddled in the bushes. Curiosity getting the better of me, I approached the figure and found myself face to face with a small child covered head to toe in chocolate.
At first, I was taken aback by the sight. But as the child looked up at me with big, innocent eyes, I couldn't help but feel a sense of compassion for him. I soon learned that he had stumbled upon a discarded box of chocolates and, unable to resist their temptation, had gorged himself until he was covered in chocolate from head to toe.
Although I couldn't help the child clean up his chocolate-covered face and clothes, I realized that the situation was a valuable lesson for us both. For the child, it was a reminder of self-control and the importance of moderation. And for me, it was a reminder to approach every situation with an open mind and to always find room in my heart for a little bit of compassion.
