Spring festival
Spring festival, a traditional national celebration for Chinese people all over the world, is the most important festival in a whole year.
It has regular holiday of more than a whole week that people are avaible to travel to various regions for reunion. During the big festival, people also go shopping, perform lion and dragon dances, and take a good rest.
Chinese people always start to preapare for the big festival as early as one month before it. We can see sausage, salted chicken and salted fish everywhere since it is the flavor of year. How could it regarded as a Spring Festival without sausage and firecrackes? As New Year is approaching ,people buy a brand new broom to give the house a big cleaning.
The street was decorated with colorful lights and huge FU Character.No matter high streets or back lanes, great excitement prevails throughout the country. It is like a celebration for the whole nation.
It was our custom to have New Year dinner on the evening of New Year's Eve. But the custom varies from south to north. For Northerners， dumplings is a typical food . While for Southerners, they are customed to have Tangyuan and NewYear Cake. These food is a representive of best wishes: reunion, happiness, higher and more prosperous. For chinese people, Sping Festival is the one time of the year when everyone in the family gets together.
For the elders, they are happy because relatives who are busying working or living far away from them could pay a visit to them. The youth are coming to see them so the elders feel so joyful。
For children , it may be the most impressive day in their childhood. When parents are busy preparing dinner, kids are having lots of fun. They play fireworks， they meet relatives haven't seen for a long time, and they watch TV, enjoy snacks when their parents are too busy to rattle on and on about the day. The most exciting thing for kids is to receive red packets.
New year Festival's come is also a beginning of a brand new year. Best wishes to all.
