大年初五的习俗是打扫卫生、迎财神和吃饺子,英语是do some cleaning and Welcome the God of Wealth and Eat dumplings
The fifth day of the first month of the lunar calendar is commonly known as the fifth day. On this day, a popular custom in many places is to catch up with the "five poor". People get up at dawn, set off firecrackers and clean up. Firecrackers are set out from each house, and they go out of the door. That is to say, all the unlucky things and all the demons and ghosts will be thrown out, so that they are far away from us, the farther the better.
Cleaning is a thorough cleaning. Sweep rubbish out of every house. When the garbage sweeps out of the gate and into a corner, the firecrackers are also put out of the house, so a huge firecracker is taken and placed on the garbage heap, which is lit and roared. The ceremony is over.
The fifth day of the new year is a day for Chinese people to welcome the God of wealth. From the evening of the 3rd to the early morning of the 4th, many people will "welcome the God of wealth" by setting off firecrackers.
The reason for eating dumplings on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year is that there are many taboos in the days from the first day to the fifth day of the lunar new year, so people should not "act rashly".
As soon as the fifth day of the Lunar New Year is over, it is no longer taboo, so we should eat dumplings to congratulate. In particular, in today's Tianjin and nearby areas (such as Cangzhou City), there is also the custom of "making dumplings and holding the mouth of the villain". It is said that the villain should shut his mouth and say less bad things next year.
The fifth day of the first month, commonly known as the broken five Festival, is one of the Chinese traditional festivals with a long history. It is named after the Chinese folk custom that many taboos can be broken before this day.The customs include worshiping gods and eating dumplings.

The Fifth of The First Lunar Month has the literal meaning “Breaking the
Fifth” which means starting with today, the farmers may start doing
their farm work. On this day in the past, farmers used to drive the farm
cows or donkeys to pull carts to sent manure formerly kept in the pigsty to
the fields. Some might plough the fields in case the farmlands are no more
frozen. On the morning of the Fifth Day of First Lunar Month, people also
set off some firecrackers in the hope of eliminating poverty and ushering in
happiness. We often hear loud explosions of two-bang firecrackers coming
from far and near. Some people set off some fireworks when the sky is still
dark. The fire balls rose high up, bursting into the shapes of beautiful
flowers, illuminating the whole sky.
On this day people also eat dumplings as the main food. The dumplings
are usually made into shapes of silver ingots which signifies richness.
Having spent the fifth day of the first lunar month, the seven-day public
holiday for all the Chinese is almost over and everyone has amassed enough
energy to work in the new lunar year.
