此题考查哪个选项能代替what，在问句中充当explained（解释，说明）的宾语。
A 他什么时候出国 这么简单的一个时间问题不需要解释说明，排除；
CD 其实是同一件事，但是解释说明的东西必须是有疑问的啊，排除。

2. B no such thing=not such a thing

既然是there is，则选项中的名词必须是单数，排除CD(things)；
no=not a(n)+可数名词单数=not any+可数名词复数/不可数名词
所以A no such a thing中，no和a其实是重复了，排除。
再如：There is no student in the classroom.
=There is not/isn't a student in the classroom.
