Internet has always been a double-edged sword where advantages and disadvantages are both critical enough for us to take into serious consideration. In my opinion, Internet is an irreplaceable tool in shaping today's society.
Firstly, education today makes use of the portability of Internet and make it easier for students to access. Documents related to the course will be uploaded to the cloud for easy access by the students regardless of their location. This has brought ease as it allows the students to not carry huge piles of books and papers to class but only bringing a device with Internet access.
Secondly, Internet has vast amount of information bigger than any library in the world. Information retrieval has been made easy as people just have to search for key terms in the search engine online to gain access to the information that they need. Any information has been made available online through the billions of computers all around the globe.
Lastly, Internet connects people at a greater degree. Due to its high speed, people are able to communicate with one another within just a few taps on the device with Internet access. For example, Skype has enabled millions of people to do interviews across countries without the need to travel and families to reunite online while one is unable to make it back home.
