My View on Surfing on the Internet
Surfing on the Internet has now become a popular pastime. Statistics show that people who apply to have access to the Internet double every six months. However, as is the case with many issues, surfing on the net has both positive and negative aspects.
On the positive side, the Internet is the cheap source of information. People can have easy access to the information they want without spending too much. In addition, it is widely used in education. There are many online courses for students to be educated both at school and home. Moreover, the Internet offers various entertainments, which makes the life more colorful and enjoyable.
On the negative side, since everyone can publish online and there is no quality control, some information on the net may mislead the surfers. Besides, surfing on the net is time-consuming. Some students spend plenty of time logging onto the net, which may influence their normal study. Worst of all, the bad items such as pornography(色情作品) and violent scene poison the young people’s minds.
There is no denying that surfing on the net has both benefits and drawbacks but on balance the advantages of the Internet outweigh its disadvantages since surfing on the Internet has become an integral part of modern life.

不知不觉我就来到了一个红绿灯的十字路口。当时正好是红灯，我只是好在斑马线外静心等待，在等待的同时我心里十分焦急，这时这个陌生人来到了红绿灯。我精细地打量了一下他，他身穿休闲服脸大大的，他的眼睛像黑宝石……看样子不像是个坏人，好像只是个过路人。红灯开始闪动，这时一个小孩冲出了马路，在这个时候，一辆大货车飞奔而来，我心想：如果货车撞到小孩，这个小孩就会心死无疑。在这千钧一发的关键时刻，这个过路人冲了出去把小孩推开了，小孩化险为夷，但这个过路人却被大货车撞得飞了出去。这时车停了，很多人围在一起，把那里包围的水泄不通。不久交警叔叔来了，救护车也来了……
