在英语学习中,听力作为一种输入性的技能,是“听说读写译”五大技能中的基础。为更加客观系统地进行课题研究,在分析影响学生英语听力学习的干扰因素之前,需从我国教育学研究的发展水平的现状、语言习得规律和各学龄学生的英语学习动机及策略的研究了解学生英语学习的情况。近几十年来,我国外语教学历史的迅猛发展,在吸取国外先进教学法和研究的同时,我国教学研究工作者也积累了大量丰富宝贵的教学实践经验。从研究方法和数据处理情况来看,随着电子技术的提高,我国外语教学研究除大部分采用的是思辨性和描述性的方法外,还出现了如系统地收集、分析、和解释数据这些更科学的研究方式。这一进步将促成我国外语教学有个质的提高,除此之外,分析学生的学习策略和学习动机也是提高英语学习的一个重要手段和依据。
现代语言教育理论高度重视听在语言学习和语言使用中的作用, 听的教学受忽视和缺乏科学性的状况正在改变。通过收集资料的过程中了解到国内外关于英语听力方面的学术研究已取得一定的成果。对这些学术资料进行研读,将对笔者自己的研究有很大的帮助。现列举如下:
在国内,根据戴军熔的文献《影响听力理解的几个因素及解决途径》中,他指出了英语听力学习现状表明:学生在英语学习上听的能力大大低于该学科的其它能力。因此, 对英语听力的现状进行分析,找出障碍,决定对策就显得十分必要。文献中将英语学习中如听力与词汇量、听读相关性、听力与记忆、听力与语言功能操练和听力与听者的情绪状态的存在关系进行分析。文献中将影响听力的干扰因素详尽阐述,并认为,对这些因素进行分析对提高英语听力有着关键性作用,有助于提出更有效的解决策略和教学方法。
根据黄国营的《英语教育学》中提到一定的外语教学法理论总与一定的心理语言学理论相联系。其中听说法依据斯金纳等人的刺激-反应理论和奥斯古德的传递论,认为学习是通过强化和条件反射形成的。因此英语听力学习也需要外部强化和内部动机刺激。这为针对影响听力的干扰因素带来的问题指明了解决策略的方向。
而在王笃勤的文献《英语教学策略论》对听力教学策略进行研究,认为听力教学策略指有助于培养学生听力能力的课堂操作模式和技巧。
在国外,以英语教学论、教师和学生、教学模式展开研究。斯特恩对英语教师特质与英语教授过程的关系,认为教师的素质会深刻影响学生的习得过程。他还指出学生的个性因素即学习动机和焦虑程度直接影响英语学习过程和学习效果。这些教学法和从学习动机上的研究都表明了对提高英语听力学习的分析有着很大的帮助。 展开

In the study of English, listening, as the input skill, is the basic of the five skills of “listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating”. In order to carry out the research in an objective and systematic way, before we analyze the factors which influence listening study, we shall understand the current situation of the students’ English study from the perspectives of current status of development level of Pedagogy research, rules of language acquisition and students’ English study motivation and strategy research of different age. In decades, China’s foreign language teaching develops at a high speed. The researchers learn from the foreign advanced teaching method and research, meanwhile, they accumulate abundant and precious teaching experience. From the aspects of research method and data processing conditions, with the advance of electric technology, most of the foreign language teaching research adopt dialectical and descriptive method, besides, there are more scientific research method such as to collect, analyze and explain the data systematically. It will further improve the foreign language education. Furthermore, it would be an important measure and evidence to analyze the students’ study strategy and motivation.
Modern language education theory pays high attention to the function of listening in language study and language use. The ignorance of listening education is being changed. From the information collected, we find that the research about English listening has made achievements both in domestic and abroad. To read these documents will be of great help for my research. In China, per Dai Junrong’s documents Factors Influencing listening comprehension and solutions, he points out that current status of English listening shows that students’ ability on listening is much weak than other abilities in this subject. Therefore, to analyze the current status of English listening to find out the obstacles is very necessary to decide strategy. In this document, the author make analysis on the relation between listening and vocabulary, listening and reading, listening and memory, listening and language function practice, listening and the listener’s emotion. It illustrates the factors that influence listening in detail and holds that this analysis on factors have key effect on improving English listening and is helpful to put forward more effective solution.
According to Huang Guoying’s English Pedagogy, foreign language educational theory has something to do with psychological linguistic theory. For example, listening and speaking method accords with Skinner’s Stimulation and Response theory, holding that study is formed through reinforcement and conditional response. Therefore, English listening study need external reinforcement and internal motivation stimulation. It points out the direction focusing on the factors influencing listening.
In Wang Duqin’s English Education Strategy about the research on listening education strategy, he considers that listening strategy is helpful to cultivate listening ability.
In foreign countries, researches concerning English education theory, teachers and students, education patterns are carried out. Stearns considers that teachers will have a great impact on students’ acquisition process. And he points out that the students; individual factor, i.e. Study motivation and anxiety will influence the English study process and study effect. The research about education method and study motivation shows that analysis on improving English listening study will be helpful.
