As my high school years were drawing to a close,I turned over and over again in my mind the question of whether I should go to college.
After much mumbling and stumbling, I made up my mind to go to a college.

First, I am an avid learner with keen interest in learning,so I think a college education will quench my bursting thrist for more knowledge. As the great Philosopher Bacon famously said, knowledge is power, I think that I will be empowered by the knowledge I absorbed in readings and lessons.A college is the best place to enrich my knowledge in various fields in depth.

Moreover, a college education will provide me with opportunities for all-round development. A college is not just a place with lecture halls and libraries where you can draw knowledge from, it is also a striving community with many like-minded youths and inspiring professors. I believe that I can attend many courses and enrichment programmes with these people from whom I can learn even more things, then I will become not only a learned scholar, but also a person with great interpersonal skills ready to serve the community.

Lastly, attending college is a necessary step to a good career. As more people are well-educated nowadays, the job market becomes increasingly competitive. A degree from a college will be a great asset that enhances my portfolio and my chance of getting a better paying job.

With these considerations, I decided to go to college.
