埃尔维斯·普雷斯利（Elvis Presley），1935年1月8日出生在密西西比州图珀洛，美国摇滚歌手及演员，绰号猫王。
1954年普雷斯利录制第一张商业唱片。1956年并出演电影《温柔地爱我》。1957年专缉《Teddy Bear》在英国上市。1961年专辑《Are You Lonesome Tonight》发行。1963年主演电影《猎艳情歌》。1965年主演歌舞片《天堂夏威夷》。1967年主演歌舞片《祸不单行》。1969年他8年来第一次在内华达州赌城拉斯维加斯国际饭店举办现场演唱会。1973年1月14日在夏威夷举行了全球首场卫星直播的演唱会。1976年9月4日专辑《The Gril Of My Best Friend》、《Suspicion》两张专辑同时再次出版。

猫王在60及70年代的演唱会几乎都是以这首歌收尾。大家熟悉的录音版本在1962年成为他的第35张百万畅销唱片。
