I go to school on my bike.
=I go to school by bike.
一般我们说：I go to school by bike / by car / by bus / by train.也就是说by后面的交通工具不能有冠词.但是,如果我们说“坐我爸爸的车”,也就是说交通工具前面有一个定语,那么就不能用by了.又如：
I went to school in my father's car.
I went to schoo on a red bus.
