改革开放30年以来，西方许多的东西进入我国，包括西方的市场经济模式、西方的政治文化甚至西方的娱乐生活方式等等，都影响着我们民族的发展方向。这本无可厚非，这也是中国融入世界的必由之路。但我们在接受这些的时候，不要只看到这些表面，我们还要学习和领会其内涵和精髓。耶稣开创的基督教，是近2000年以来西方精神的支柱，其所创的《圣经》成为长期以来人们精神力量的源泉，《圣经》包含了征服、勇敢、团结、责任这些精神。正是在它的指引下，欧洲度过了漫长的中世纪，使西方人勇于开拓，改变了世界的面貌，把人类带入了近代社会和现代社会。
每年的圣诞节，是他们盘点一年收获和许下美好愿望的时刻，而不是简单的欢庆和玩乐！而欢乐与共的我们，盘点了自己一年的收获吗？我们又对次年有着什么样憧憬与期待？
我并不反对接受西方圣诞节，但我们更应该学习西方国家人们的素质和修养——这才是基督精神的精髓所在！大家听过，在美国发生9.11恐怖袭击时，在世贸大楼遭到袭击后，人们不是惊慌失措地逃生。狭窄的楼道里，男人在给妇女和儿童让路，年轻人在给老人让路。更让人难以忘怀的是，大楼里停电后，有许多十几岁甚至是几岁的孩子，他们举着蜡烛，在楼梯口给逃生的人照亮道路，他们也因此失去了生还的机会。听到这些，我们做何感想？
所以我想，即使我们在纪念耶稣的圣诞节，也不要全然忘却我们的儒家创使人，不要忘却我们民族文化的根源。12月25日虽然只是短暂的1天，但它留给我们的文化、历史渊源流长。我们可以在圣诞节里，怀着感恩的心，反思自己行为，继往开来，播种希望，创造未来。
