Customers and their needs are important to any marketing strategy. The ability of a company to satisfy its customer’s needs better than the competition helps build customer loyalty and increase sales. The customer analysis further defines or redefines the target market in order to establish future marketing initiatives. The customer analysis can help the marketing manager create a multi-dimensional snapshot of the customer database and facilitate other company processes such as assigning sales territories in a way that improves customer satisfaction and retention. The customer analysis also helps plan and measure marketing campaigns and most importantly, find more customers like the existing ones. A marketing strategy will help assess how successful a company is in meeting its customer’s needs. It may also help identify new markets to target.
