The roads in our city are usually very busy. There are a lot of cars, trucks, vans and buses on the road. This is called ‘traffic'.
We often need to cross the road but we must cross the road at traffic lights or at a crossing with white lines. The black and white lines are like the lines on a Zebra so it's called a ‘Zebra crossing'.
Traffic lights have three colours.A red light means ‘stop'. We must not cross the road. A green light means ‘go'. We must walk across the street quickly. A yellow light means w‘ait'. We must wait until the light turns green.
