本文集中阐述了外商直接投资和就业的相关概念及内涵，围绕海外直接投资的现状可能引起的问题做了相应的分析，从外商直接投资对我国就业水平、就业质量和就业结构效应分析提出了个人的看法，并从结论中得出了面对我国外商直接投资的现状的一些对策建议。
本文系运用规范研究方法进行的专题研究。全文分四个部分：第一部分，是讨论了外商直接投资的相关理论和国内外研究评述；第二部分，是分析了我国利用外商直接投资的现状；第三部分，是具体分析了外商直接投资对我国就业的影响；第四部分，是就以上分析得出的结论以及对策。
本文主要创新体现在外商直接投资不仅对我国的就业有积极作用，也有消极作用。这些消极作用若不好好处理，则会对我国现阶段的就业问题带来非常大的影响
