To me, life without music would not be exciting.I realize that this is not true for everybody.Many people get along quite well without going to concerts or listening to recocds.But music plays an important role in everyone's life,whether they realize it or not. Try to imagine,for example,what films or TV plays would be like without music.Would the feelings,the moving plot,and the greatest interests,be exciting or dramatic?I'm not sure about it.
Now,we have been speaking of music in its more common meaning-- the kind of music we hear in the concert hall.But if we look at some parts of music more closely,we discover them in our everyday life too-- in the rhythm of the sea,the melody of a bird in the woods and so on.So music surely has meaning for everyone,in some way or other.And,of course,it has special meaning for those who have spent all their lives working on playing or writing music.
It is well said,"Through music a child enters a world of beauty,expresses himself from his heart,feels the joy of doing things alone,learns to take care of others,develops his mind and makes his body strong.

对我而言，没有了音乐的生命没有任何激情。我认识到这并不适用于每个人。很多人不去音乐会或者不听音乐也一样生活的很好。但是无论你有没有认识到，音乐在每个人的生命中都是一个重要的部分。试着想象一下，比如，电影或者电视如果没有了音乐会是什么样？那些感受，感人的情节，和高潮部分还有激情还生动么？我不清楚。
现在，我们在说的都是音乐最普遍的意思--那种我们在音乐会可以听到的音乐。但是，如果我们细看音乐的其他一些方面，我们会发现他们也存在于我们生命中--大海的旋律，鸟儿在树上悦耳的叫声等等。所以音乐的确对每个人在这方面或那方面都是有意义的。当然了，音乐对于那些一生都在做音乐或者写音乐的人而言，有更特别的意思。就像那样说的“通过音乐，孩子走进了美的世界，表达了自己的内心，感受到了独自一人做事的乐趣，学会了照顾别人，开发了智力也锻炼了身体”。
