Many other students eat their own lunches. They don’t like cafeteria food. Also, they think the prices are too high. They share their home-cooked lunches with their classmates.
The cafeteria is a noisy place. All the students talk about their morning classes. They eat quickly because lunch hour is short and they have other things to do. One student reminds the others to clean off the tables.
At 1:30 p.m. the cafeteria is quiet again. The workers in the cafeteria do the dishes and clean off the counters. The cashier counts up the money in the till. The caretaker washes the floors and tables. He puts everything back in its place until the next day.
