Learning and practicing the ideology of team sports allows for character building and certainly introduces a sharing purpose to ones life. team sports are better by far than individual sports still, sacrifice, passion, dedication, desire, determination and drive to be the best trained, hardest working, always involved and well read by reading everything about the sport you love, Overcoming handicaps, involving your own personal goals and setting goals and I think most importantly the achievement of those goals, the rewards of victory and the satisfaction that builds character, self esteem and how to be humble without becoming egotistical is mandate.
I know I will be coming back to add to this but so far if listed.
But, the top advantage to the education that only competitive sports can assist you with, is: being a player with the need to excel rather than accepting a non participitory roll like being a player who sits on the bench. The concept of giving more than anybody ever did before you or will after youis what changes a persons life. By understanding that every second you put into your sport and your education is paid back by so much more than the simplicity of money can ever be satisfied by. Train the body, train the brain and know going in that if you give anything less than all there is.... Someone out there might have done a better job at getting ready for the battle and you don't know what failure is, in fact it's not even in your vocabulary. Passion, sharing, giving, training, dedication, drive, determination, desire, good health, good diet, strong foundations to belief, education, family, friendships, acceptance and elation.
