Dear Peter,
I’m glad to receive your e-mail. Now I’d like to tell you something about the manners in China.
When people meet each other, they often shake hands. Chinese people talk about many topics, even including their ages. Besides, if you’re invited, you are supposed to arrive on time. And you should take a small present with you. If you receive a present, you should open it until your guest leaves your home. As for the table manners, you are supposed to eat with chopsticks. And you’d better not tap the bowl when you are eating. When you are full, wait until everyone finishes eating.
I’d like you to drop by my home whenever you like.
Have a good time!
Sincerely,
LiHua
