stress的用法：

1、作名词

（1）“压力；重音”，我们来看它的主要搭配情况：

①Lucy's been under lots of stress since her father fell ill.

②In“abuse”the stress falls on the second syllable.

（2）“强调；重要性”之意，其主要搭配为：

①lay/put/place stress on sth 强调某事

②I lay great stress on reading over and over again.我反复强调阅读的重要性。

2、作动词：它是个及物动词，意思为“加压力于；使紧张；强调”

①Istressed the importance of a good education.我强调了良好教育的重要性。

②I often stress thatstudents should pay attention to learning English as carefully as possible.我经常强调学生学英语应注意尽可能细心。
