One morning last summer, Mr Smith went to buy fish for his supper . Because a friend of 【1.his】 was coming to have supper with him that evening.
It was very hot, most 【2.of】 the fish were not so fresh, so the person who sells fish 【3.said】, “Sir, all the fish are fresh, buy some?” Mr Smith held one fish up to his nose and smelled【4. it】. “Why do you smell that fish! “Why?” said the man that sells fish. “【9.What】 did you say to it?” He was very angry. “I asked it if there was any news from the river.” “Well, what did the fish say to you?”
