it's been so long that I have not spoken English w/ foriegners since my new career in BJ. But yesterday God seemed to assign some works to me to assist his children.

When I just walked out of Bagou subway station yesterday, I saw a white couple were asking their direction to any closest ATM that they could withdraw some cash. The 2 young guys apparently couldn't help by the language problem. Then I volunteered to talk to them and understood their problem. They agreed to follow me to my office since there are many banks around to my office. On the way to my office, I knew that they r from Germany, and now teach German in a university in Beijing, and that they r going to visit Fragrance Hill. 10 mins later they found an ATM, and got what they needed, and I brought them to take a taxi to get their final destination. The above is my first Volunteering experience in BJ. It's great to help people but I really found that my English becomes so bad since I have not practiced it for long time.

Just right after thinking of refreshing my English, God seemed to assign me a new task in the afternoon. I met an American couple from NEW YORK when they were asking direction to Olympics Park. Icould tell them the name of the transfer station, but I could not spell the name in Chinese Pinying system. Thus, I brought them to the subway map, and showed the direction. When they left, I felt so happy by their smile.

Now I still feel good about my 2 volunteer eperiences yesterday. But I do really find some time to refresh my English..

我做过家教。这方面我可以说一说。
做家教，很能锻炼人的表达能力。不是你所学知识的重复。也没这么简单，你要知道找家教的多数是比较厌学的，你不仅要反把你的意思表达清楚，还要说得有趣，这一点，职业教书的老师多数还做不到。如果说得没有趣，你表达得再清楚也没用，最初他可能会听你的，两三次后，他就会觉得你很讨厌。说得有趣，不是你教的过程中插上一两你笑话这么简单。你自己也要用诙谐的语言来表达你的意思。
你要让他高兴，他高兴，他才听你的。你还要给他就学习的重要性，让他能下决心来学好。
同时要重视与他交往，能成为朋友，就最好。你还要与他的家长说说你的计划，及你对他们子女的看法。
你要知道，做家教是一份光荣的兼职。做家教时，你要建立你的威信。这样家长才会信任你，他才会觉得给你学没错。
