This may be because of the double inter-factions between the ecological factors and human activities. In relative hidden area,the left of the 'dock on Miaozhihu Island (LDM), owing to high salinity, good sea water, and violent storm, its biomass is very high and achieves 18 664.16 g/m2, and this inter-tidal zone mainly adapt Mytilus eduAs L and
Tetraclita japonica Pilsbry ete to survive. The outlet of the water channel on Xiaochangtu Island (OW X) is open, but its storm has little impact force, so its biomass is still higher and reach to 1340.64 g/mz. However, in Zhoushan island, although there is violent storm and open, yet its biomass is generally lower, such as in open Ximatou on Zhoushan IsaInd(XMT), relative open Zhengang on Zhoushan Isalnd (ZG) and Tangtou on Zhoushan Isalnd (TT), their biomass is 488.16,27.68 and 452.16 g/m2, respectively. The biological quantity of the inter-tidal zone of Zhoushan Archipelago in the investigation has obviously descended compared with that reported in 1990's. The inherent reasons why the species quantity decreased in 10 years need further research.
