This paper mainly reviewed the development history of electric automobile, and analyzed the current situation of electric automobile at present. In this paper, the classification of elecric automobile, kinds of power battery and the various specifications such as economy, reliablity, feasibility were mainly introduced. Meanwhile, the properties in various kinds of storage batteries were compared. Finally from the technology property of electric automobile at home and abroad, and on the basis of all-out comparison between electric automobile and internal combustion engine automobile, the development situation of china’s electric automobile was introduced, and some relevant measures and proposals were put forward.
