Good morning, ladies and gentlemen ,honorable judges and distinguished guests,I’m contestant No.__.and my topic today is “I’m a freshman”

How time flies! Just a year ago ,I was studying hard for my College Entrance Examination. But now ,I’m standing on the Star of Outlook stage.

So let me share my feelings in the college .The atmosphere is free and very different from that in the high school. I have enough time to stay in the library, reading my favorite novels and some magazines. What’s more ,there are all kinds of associations in our college and I’m a member of an English club, so I can communicate with international friends at Englilish corner every week. Besides,there are many other activities, are held by clubs or departments, such as model contest, speech competition, opera show to name only a few. These were so excellent that I am often shocked and surprised, and they make my life even more wonderful.

Once I attended an English competiton the “Shining Star” and that was my first time to act in an Englsih opera called Cinderella. This unforgetable experience made me know the importance of teamwork and cooperation.Moreover, after I took part in a series of activities,I understand the most important thing in competition is not the result but the process,a process of growing up and experience.In particular, I cherish the friendship I got from the competition.
My freshman days also involve sadness. When I just came here, I felt uncomfortable because of the new circumstance. I missed my parents and my home very much and became upset from time to time. Now I have adjusted myself and felt better, though I am still homesick.
Generally speaking , my freshman days are colorful. Everything of those days flashes in my mind. After all, I am still a freshman now and I will strive for further progress and enjoy my life. And I believe these days will be a part of the most wonderful experiences in my life.Finally,I would like to say, No matter where I am, I will not stop the steps of pursuing my dream.Because I am convinced that, with a dream in mind ,I’ll not only have a bright future ahead ,but also a precious memory behind.
