My Hometown
My home is in a town.
It lies in the east of Zhejiang near the East SeA．It has a population of fifty thousand. Our town is in the south of our county.The Ease Sea is to the east of the town. To the south is flat land. Mountains are on the west. And a river runs from north to south in the west of my town.
The weather here is good. It is not so cold in winter or so hot in summer. So the sea near my town is full of all sorts of fish. The fishermen of my home town are all living a happy life

Last summer holiday, I went to Hainan with my family.The weather was terrfifc! The sky was bule more than I could describe, the sea was blue and bright more than I could believe. Walking by the sea is just like being in the oil painting! We sailed to an island called Xidao. I swam there.Swimming is the sea is quite different from that in a pool. Because the depth is various all the time.Maybe the water can't afford you this minute, and then it will flow over your head!
Besdieds the swimming, we also had a good meal there. We had a nice seafood dish. I forgot the name of that conch,but I bought back the shell. I f you want to have a look,you may ask me.Or, we may go to Hainan together,for I am always hoping to come to that place again.
Well,I really like that place, a place of bule and brightness.

I have many hobbies, such as sports, singing, playing the violin and keeping a diary.
In school, I often hear the P.E. teacher say, sports do good to one's health, and will make one live longer. So, I like sports very much. I go running at five o'clock in the morning, and after classes in the afternoon. I play pingpong with my friends. These sports have kept me healthy.
At home, I like to sing and play the violin. I hope I will be a singer and a violinist① when I grow up. In order to attain these goals②,I go to the teacher's home for a lesson every Saturday, and practise singing and playing the violin every day. Busy as I am, I am quite happy.
Of all my hobbies I like reading books best. In my bedroom there are nearly six hundred books. There are story books, textbooks, magazines, and others. When I grow up, I will serve the people with the knowledge I have learned from them.

An Unforgettable Thing
How could I forget the thing that my father gave me courage and confidence when I was in a great sorrow some years ago!
When I was small,I suffered a strang terrible disease,which made me cough day and night.I had to stay in bed all day.My father had worried about that since I got ill.He took me from hospital to hospial.He gave up his job,took good care of me everyday.Soon we ran out of money.But I still Cough.I had thought I was dying.I started to lose heart and then an terrible idea occured to me.I wanted to commit suicide.Knowing about that,father got angry,"How can you do that,poor boy?We should not lose heart.We should not give up.I'll cure you at any cost."Father looked at me softly."I am sorry dad,I know you love me but...""Don't say that again,we are father and son,and will be together forever."Hearing this,tears came to my eyes. From then on,father borrowed money from door to door,and took me to see the doctors again.Luckily,I recovered soon.
Although many years has passed,I still remember the thing,it is unforgettable.It made me know:Never give up at anytime!

People who like travelling have their reasons. They maintain that travelling can help them expand their scope of knowledge, especially geographical and historical learning. They go on to point out that touring will provide more chance for them to enjoy food and try on clothes that they otherwise cannot possibly have.
