艾尔文与花栗鼠》里包含了太多耳熟能详的节日歌曲，而且是以一种如此新颖且尖锐的嗓音唱出来的，让你多多少少产生了一种想笑的愉快心情，而且你也不会因为被逗乐而觉得感情受到了伤害……由于影片改编自一部曾经非常流行的卡通动画电视剧，即使讲述的是一个全新的故事，文化底蕴还是有些的。自从有了之前同样拥有“群众基础”的电影版《加菲猫》之后，这部《艾尔文与花栗鼠》会获得怎么样的结局，你多多少少也能预料得到--反正就是普普通通，没啥新意，将会以最快的速度在电影浪潮中退却。
其实最让人难以理解的，还属杰森·李的选片标准，曾经在电影行业中辗转了几个年头的他，因为找不到出路而转投了电视领域的脚下，通过一部《愚人善事》大放异彩之后，杀了个回马枪，重回大银幕……也许这是对他之前演了那么多糟糕角色的一种惩罚吧，如果他真的聪明到像比尔·默瑞一样，就应该懂得什么时候把自己的脸遮起来，藏身幕后，只是提供声音而已，就像他之前为《超狗任务》中的那只比格酷狗配音。
