There's nothing more relaxing than sitting down and enjoying a great book on a warm afternoon. Lately, I've read a book called 《I AM NUMBER FOUR》, it is the first of it's series and was extremely engaging. It's one of the most interesting English novels I've encountered.
The book talks about how there are alien on earth who look just like humans. They were sent to Earth after their planet, Lorien,was destroyed and hope to stop another species, the Mogadorians, from destroying Earth and to once again bring back their own planet. The aliens from Lorien were chosen by thier ancestors and have special powers, they are scattered around the planet and have to come together to fight against the Mogadorians who are hunting them down. Now, that's where I'll leave it because I don't want to ruin the story for you.
The author leaves us readers hanging and wanting more with every chapter. It was very hard for me to put down the book because of the vivid descriptions of the characters, their emotions and relationships. The book makes us realize that everyone, maybe even aliens, have their troubles in life, we all have times when we feel insecure, lonely and lost, but we have to live with it, stand up to our fears and just keep going. I would strongly recommend this book if you are a fan of fantasy, action and good looking aliens.
Our life is a process of countinous learning and great books play a big role, for we learn from the experiences, thoughts and creativity of the author. With great books we can travel and have adventures right in our bedrooms, 《I AM NUMBER FOUR》was a great one.
