RWBY is an original animation that started broadcasting over the internet on July, 2013. R, W, B, Y, represents red, white, black, and yellow, respectively, with each representing the theme color of each of the four main female characters.
It is produced by RWBY group of the Rooster Teeth Productions. Its creator, animation artist Monty Oum, is also the producer of the animation.
The animation takes place in a world similar to our present world, except the world is full of supernatural forces. Each of the four main characters, who has their own special power and weapon, gathered together for various reasons. Together, they formed a team and started training, in order to fight against the monsters, villains, or other groups of similar nature. Before this story takes place, humanity, for their own survival, started the war against the "Creatures of Grimm". It is not until the discovery of "Dust", which can be used as a power source for magic, is it possible for the humanity to confront these creatures, which allows for the establishment of human civilization.
