1.就象你说校园生活一样life in campus ,但不是life of campus，之所以这样，是因为这里要表示的是在军队里的生活，而不是军队的生活
2.tell sb sth.，tell sth to sb，如果and并列的话，后面的tell明显缺成分
3.征一群人，用recruit，如：

某个人被征召，用conscript( 美国这个意思用draft）
