请问这句话有语法问题嘛..？

I have worked for you for many years and I would work for you still but I am too old. Do not be unkind to the old but remember what good work the old did when they were young.

这是一个小故事里的点睛之笔...希望不要有语法上的问题...

I have worked for you for many years and I still would like work for you but I am too old for that .Please be nice to the old,and remember what good jobs they ever did as well, when they were young.

最大的问题，but 用的不对。这里要么用and. 要么用because + 原因上去remember.

其他地方还好，就是有点绕。感觉说不清的地方，就分2句说。长句不一定是好。
