原题是：The children were found plant an apple tree.
答案是：The children were found to be planting an apple tree.
因此很不能理解为什么变成了to be planting.
found后面为什么不直接跟planting呢 展开

the children were found planting an apple tree.
加上to be 也没什么语法错误，但习惯上没这么说
