【用法】

even though的用链亩饥法

• even though（＝even if），意为“即使”，引导让步状语从句。

• even though有退一步设想的意味，even though引导的棚返句子所说的则不一定是事实。

1. We mustn't let up, even though we're winning.
   我们即使快赢了也决不可松劲。

2. The poster wouldn't stick even though I drenched it with glue.
   我涂了大量胶水，可那张海报就是贴不住。

3. He never apologizes, even though he knows that he is in the wrong.
   他从不道歉，即使他自知错了。

although的用法

• although的基本意思是“尽管,虽然”或“然而,但是”,常用于引导陈述语气的让步状语从句,且引导的句子常指事实,而不指设想。

• athough引导让步状语从句，意为“虽然”；athough引导的句子所说的是事实。

1. Although my uncle is old, he looks very strong and healthy.
   我耐誉的叔叔虽然老了，但他看上去还是很健壮。

2. Although they can swim, the polar bears are terrestrial animals.
   北极熊虽然会游泳，但也是陆栖动物。

3. Although she was poor, she was living in genteel poverty.
   尽管她贫穷，但她总想装出上流社会阶层的样子。

though,although在句首表“尽管”纳敬两者都可以洞胡慎用.
even if (=even though)
though,although,even if (though)均可引导让步状语从句,但在侧重假设或推断时要用though或as if(though),例如：
Although it rains heavily,we shall still go out
上句中although应改为even if (though)或though.
再如做销：Though(Even though) everyone deserts you,I will not.
