Dear parents:

Thank you for your support of Norton College. I am pleased to be communicating with you about student porgress for the trimester commencing 4th september 2006.Enclosed with this newsletter is a progress report for the first nine weeeks of our programme . This report reflects your son or daughters progress to date. Parents are advised to register with us to gain access to our parent website. This will allow you to access important information about the progress ,attendance and more of your son or daughter. Plesae contact me for further information about this if required.

Student Requirements
Student are expected to attend all lessons and it is very importsnt that students do not arrive late to class. Student must be encouraget to attend all their classes on time each day. I have phoned and will continue to phone parents where Student attendance and punctuality is unacceptale. Students with unacctable attendance are subject to discipline processes.

I must emphasise the importance that Norton College places on the completion of homework. Completion of homework reinforces what Studens have been taught in class. Experrience has shown that Students who do not regularly complete set homework may struggle in a subject and ultimately fail to complete their course.

Student Progress
Many Students have made good progress in most of their subjects and I congratulate them on their fine effort. I am grateful to the many parents for their encouragement and ongoing support to students. Please remind your son or daughter of the importance of the upcoming examintions.

All Students have been reminded of the importance of the upcoming examinations in terms of their entry into a subsequent programme or trimester. In the case of Students completing their final trimester before commencing with their tertiary studies, it is even more important to succeed in these examinations, as their results will be used to detemine whether they are able to enter AUT(Auckland University of Technology) to continue with tertiary studies.

学生守则

每堂课学生都应该参加，而且非常重要的是不能迟到。应该鼓励学生参加每天的所有课程。（后面一段单词有错误，无法看懂哦）
我必须强调Norto学院对家庭作业完成情况的重视。家庭的作业的完成有助于学生课堂的学习。经验告诉我们，不按时完成作业的学生在一门功课上的学习会陷入困难，并最终导致在这门课程上掉队。

学生培养

许多学生在大部分功课上取得了进展，对他们的努力我们表示祝贺。我希望家长能给他们鼓励并继续支持这些学生。请提醒你们的儿子/女儿即将来临的考试的重要性。

所有的学生都被告知即将来临的考试的重要性。由于结束本学期后将开始第三阶段的学习，所以此次考试的重要性尤为突出。此次考试结果将决定他们是否能进入AUT（奥克兰技术大学）进行第三阶段的深造。
