1)Edward divides 60 stickers into two groups.If 7 times the number of stickers in the smaller group is equal to 3 times that in the larger group,find the number of stickers in the snaller group.

2)There are 18 True-or-False questions in a Mathematics test.2 marks will be given for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.If Mimi answers all the questions and gets 24 marks,how many correct answers has she got?

(1)smaller:x,larger:60-x
则7x=3(60-x)
so x=18
(2)correct answer :x,wrong answer:18-x
则2x-(18-x)=24
so x=14
