Simply copying and pasting the equation expression from word is not acceptable from Mathematica. The integrate and differential symbal need you extra attention in typing.

Use <Esc>int<Esc> to enter integrate  and <Esc>dd<Esc> to enter d

Either way, the computer understandable expression is more straightforward if you feel difficult in typing.

However, both of sytax works on your question :-)
