In an era when footballers change teams as often as they change cars or girlfriends, it is rare for a player to score 250 goals for just one club.
But Alessandro Del Piero did just that when he scored in Juventus's 4-0 victory over Reggina on November 29. The 34-year-old Italian is an uncommon example of a footballer that has remained loyal to his club through thick and thin.
Talking to uefa.com last year, he said: "I'm very happy to have spent so much time here, sharing dreams and victories and all the battles. I have always worked with people with the same spirit and willingness to win."
He joined the Italian giants aged 18 back in 1993. At the time he was tipped to be one of the great stars of the future. He did not disappoint.
He has won five Serie A titles playing as a striker for his team, and won the Champions League in 1996 as well. He has also played 91 times for the Italy. He was part of his country's World Cup winning squad in 2006.
No player in Juventus's history has played as many games or scored as many goals for the club. As a result many of the fans know him affectionately as "The Old Master".
Del Piero's loyalty extends beyond football too. He met his wife in 1999 and has been with her ever since, marrying in 2005. Last year they had their first son together, Tobias.
A real test of his loyalty to Juventus came in 2006. The club was relegated to Serie B following a match-fixing scandal. While many stars chose to leave, Del Piero decided to stay put, and helped the side win promotion back to Serie A.
And as he enters his 16th year at Juventus, Del Piero has no intention of moving club just yet.
"I will stay at Juventus for the next two years at least," he told uefa.com, "I am really happy to spend all this time with the club."
