temperature, commercial aluminum pipe, JIS A 1100-TD,

were selected as about 1/10 size of the actual largediameter
seamless pipe whose curved shape near both ends
causes trouble in industry. Assuming the Swift-type stress–
strain relationship for this material, the flow stress in the uniaxial
tension was given by σ = 141(0.002 + εp)0.0329 MPa.
Before the straightening experiment, pipe specimen was
so bent as to give a curved shape by three-point bending.
We designate the position where the pipe specimen is bent
along the axial direction as the bend location lb. While the
bend location located at the position of lb = 250mm from
the end of pipe specimen in the previous experiment [5],
the bend locations were selected at lb = 50, 75, 100, 150
and 200mm from the end of pipe specimen in the present
experiment.
