施工项目中的进度计划控制对企业来说显得格外重要，也是项目管理重要的内容，如何组织施工进度控制的计划，以及在施工项目出现不合理的情况时如何进行调整。工期为进度的一个指标，进度控制首先表现为工期控制，但进度控制已不能单指工期控制，必须把工期和劳动消耗、成本、工程实物、资源统一起来，实现进度、计划、成本、资源构成综合计划。加强施工进度控制是规范施工行为和保证施工目标实现的关键，组织施工进度计划、及时发现实际进度与计划的差异并及时有效的进行调整对项目管理人员并不容易，虽然国内对有关进度的控制问题都有论述，但对施工项目进度控制和计划并不系统、全面，而且操作性不强，为了系统、全面的解决施工项目进度计划和控制问题，因此良好的进度控制对工程项目尤为重要。
完整、科学的进度计划可以让项目顺利完工、按时交付，而且保证工程质量，使项目成本优化，使资源得以合理利用，在项目实施过程中，掌握动态控制原理，不断进行检查，将实际情况相结合找出偏离原因，及时调整进度计划，掌握动态原理，也是文中阐述的关键点。
