My mother and my brothers are all happy to hear from you although it was arrived so late after more than few decades since we started to corresponds with your mother. I was planning to visit Yunnan sometime but I still not able to make my trip yet. I certain hope that I can go this year. I could not and don't know how to type Chinese so I send you in English but I promise you I would send you Chinese. 虽然从我们联系你妈妈时算起，到现在已经20多年了，但得到你的消息我的母亲和兄弟们都非常高兴。事实上我曾计划去云南，但到现在还没能成行。当然，我希望今年能够如愿。我不能也不知道怎样打汉字因此就用英语给你写信了，但我答应你我会用汉语给你写的。现在我正和我的妈妈还有哥哥在台南，再过几天就回台北。我们会给你电话的。请带我们向你的父母问好！
