Currently,we have three-week long national holiday on May 1,October 1 and the Lunur New Year's Day.These golden week holidays are primarily intended to help expand the domestic business,such as tourism,consumption,and promote the idea of going out and enjoy life.
But i don't appreciate the original intention of the golden week holidays.As national holidays,they must be more traditional and reflect the spirit of the whole country,in other words,these natioanl holidays have better originate from chinese long history.These years,many experts called for end to the golden week holidays,arguing that the holidays have not achieved significant result in promoting internal comsumption and caused a series of negative effects,including overcrowding,poor service and scarcity of hotel rooms.
Therefore some delegates brought up proposals to scrap both the National Day and International Labor's Day,the extra days should be splitted and spreaded out to the Mid-Autumn festival,Gragon Boat festival and qingming festival.Personally,i agree with the proposals and hope they will be carried out one day,although some people may feel uncomfortable in the beginning,but it's time to restructure the scheme and improve the quality of the holidays.
